Week 3 Blog

 This week, me and my team got together for our project that is due on 6th of May.

I am in team Yellow with Aggie, Hazzible, Yingqiyingqi and Stormzada.

I received an email on Monday from Kacper (Hazzible) for my number to join the Whatsapp chat so we can keep in touch. A few moments later he added me into the chat and we discussed a date and time to meet in SL to get started on our project.

On Thursday evening at 7pm we met in SL in the DIT campus. We had some trouble logging in and getting started at the beginning but after about 15 minutes we finally all got in. For my own experience, my app closed down on me a couple of times and logged me out but after a few tries of logging back in it stopped.

When we all got settled in, we discussed the brief that we were given. We talked about our own ideas and thoughts for a while. The idea that I put forward for the topic of future workplaces was the new trend where workplaces are allowing employees bring their dogs to work. Dogs in the workplace is said to increase serotonin, creating a happier workplace. I thought it would be an interesting topic just to mention.

After discussion of all the ideas, we decided to go with Hazzible's idea of the virtual office. He spoke about after this pandemic, that a lot of businesses may not ever have as many people in the workplace again as people enjoy working at home and it is cheaper for businesses to facilitate that. Hazzible spoke about rather than sitting at a laptop, people will stick on their virtual reality and sit at a table in a virtual office just like reality.

We all agreed on this topic and also agreed to present it on a presentation as it is the best way to fairly divide the work among each team member.

The first meeting went well, it was productive and a bit of fun. We got used to playing around with the gestures and we got to know each other a bit better.

This week's blog,  my final blog, is going to be an overall reflection of my project work with Team Yellow. This week on Thursday the 6th of May, we presented our final project in class and it went really well! Our team has met on Zoom the past two Mondays to fix up our presentation and get it ready for this week. Each member was very dedicated to meeting at the same time each Monday and we all had our head in the game when discussing the project.  When meeting on Zoom we worked really well together considering the pressure that was building up as we approached the due date. We fixed the layout, size and font on our presentation and added our references onto a bibliography page so that they were altogether. We also made an introduction page and a conclusion page.  We came across difficulty trying to come up with wording for our introduction and conclusion. Week 11 Blog

 In fifty years from now, digital citizenship will be more advanced that anyone would have thought. In reference to the Digital Citizenship's website and the nine themes of digital citizenship, I have made predictions of what each element will be like in fifty years from now. Digital Access- I believe the access to technology and the internet will be made very accessible in the future. I predict that prices will be more affordable than they are now and that there will be more inventions like complete waterproof devices, unbreakable devices, foldable pocket-size devices, public devices. The long line of new inventions will make accessing internet etc possible anywhere for anyone. Digital Commerce - Online banking and spending will become a lot more secure in the future. Today there are a lot of scams going around pretending to be AIB etc and scamming people. week 1 blog

 This week I visited 3 destinations to get used to flying, running walking, sitting and even dancing. Exploring the different kinds of places was fun and very interesting, the imagination in the landscapes are spectacular! The first place I visited was the land where my TUD Campus is. I got my grips around the building where my class is. I loved the TUD sign above the door, made it feel so real. It took me a good while to figure out how to sit down and it ended up being quite simple. The room is very well designed I loved it. When first entering the building to find the class, I fell off the stairs a number of times which was frustrating! I learned to fly on the landscape, its the perfect place to do so, its very scenic and I soared over the ocean and got a lovely view of the land where the college sits.  The second place I visited was 'Midnight in Paris'.
